Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the with one of our clients in Stanislaus County. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with the important role of maintaining the financial health of our organization. Your primary tasks will include the reconciliation of accounts, preparing and posting journal entries, and preparing reports for various stakeholders. Call or text Edgar Gonzalez if interested 209.395.2259 Responsibilities • Ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger through regular analysis • Conducting account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance • Preparing and posting detailed journal entries for a variety of transactions • Analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts • Facilitating the month-end closing process by preparing various reports for management, external auditors, tax team, and government agencies • Engaging in special projects and additional responsibilities as needed • Utilizing various software tools such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for efficient and accurate accounting • Maintaining confidentiality and exercising good judgment in handling sensitive information • Communicating effectively across all levels of the organization, fostering positive working relationships • Demonstrating strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Requirements • Proven experience in the field of accounting, preferably within the agriculture industry, for a minimum of 3 years. • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all business transactions are recorded accurately and timely. • Demonstrated expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, verifying the integrity of data between general ledger and subsidiary accounts. • Experience with Bank Reconciliations, comparing internal records with bank statements to identify and rectify any discrepancies. • Proficient in maintaining the General Ledger, including the preparation and posting of Journal Entries. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to handle complex formulas, pivot tables, charts, and macros. • Solid experience in Month End Close procedures, ensuring all accounting tasks are completed within the set timelines. • Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software, with the ability to leverage these tools to streamline accounting procedures. • No Please note shown in the bullet points.
