Sr. Accountant
Description We are in the process of recruiting a Senior Accountant for our operations in Irving, Texas, 75039, United States. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial information, in addition to facilitating effective communication with other departments to ensure complete and accurate financial data. This role will also involve coordinating with supervisors to provide tax adjustments, preparing analyses for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and assisting in special projects as needed. Responsibilities: • Accurately maintain financial records and ensure the continuous flow of accounting activities. • Utilize your knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and company policies to determine the appropriate recording of transactions. • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure complete and accurate financial information. • Coordinate with supervisors to provide the necessary tax adjustments and supporting schedules for companies’ tax returns. • Prepare the necessary analyses for efficient quarterly reviews and annual audits. • Review the work of other team members before it is reviewed by the department manager. • Assist in special projects as needed. • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. • Maintain accurate customer credit records. • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is necessary. • Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is desirable. • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is expected. • Possessing a strong understanding of General Ledger operations. • Expertise in managing Journal Entries is crucial. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. • Experience in Month End Close procedures is essential. • Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus. • Proficiency in using Oracle is desirable. • Experience with SAP is highly appreciated. • Knowledge of Fund Accounting is a plus. • Familiarity with Yardi is necessary for the role. • Experience in Yardi Property Management is desirable. • Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting is required.
