Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Oxnard, California. As a Sr. Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing accounting operations, particularly in inventory control and cost analysis. You will also be tasked with ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. This role is in the Agriculture or Manufacturing industry. Responsibilities: • Oversee accounting operations for inventory, with a focus on accurate reconciliation and reporting • Conduct cost analysis, pinpointing variances, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate any issues • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports and forecast updates to provide insights into financial performance • Adhere to accounting policies and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance • Handle journal entries and manage the general ledger to maintain accurate financial records • Assist in the preparation for the annual audit to ensure a smooth and efficient process • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Famous ERP system for various accounting tasks • Perform month-end close procedures, including account and balance sheet reconciliations • Leverage your skills in inventory analysis and Excel formulas to enhance accounting operations • Manage the bank reconciliations process to ensure all transactions are accounted for accurately.
