Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the medical devices industry based in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our dynamic team. The chosen candidate will have the important task of managing our customer accounts, processing applications, and ensuring the accuracy of our records. Responsibilities: • Efficiently handle and process customer credit applications • Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring their accuracy • Perform regular account reconciliations • Conduct month-end close procedures • Manage the general ledger entries and updates • Handle both accounts payable and receivable • Perform reconciliation of the balance sheet • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required Requirements • Minimum of 7 years experience in accounting, preferably in the medical devices industry • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations • Solid experience in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience in Month End Close procedures • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA desirable • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation • Familiarity with accounting software, experience with a cloud-based system is a plus • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Knowledge of US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
