Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Service industry, located in City of Industry, California. In this role, you will have the responsibility of ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records, including the preparation of journal entries, analysis of account activity, and more. This role will require you to communicate effectively with our operations team to ensure smooth data flow and a timely close. Responsibilities: • Ensure the accurate preparation and posting of revenue and other assigned journal entries • Analyze accounts and activities to ensure all entries are booked timely and correctly • Complete tasks required for the month-end close • Generate reports for monthly executive deliverables • Review and ensure data consistency between source/subsidiary systems not integrated with general ledger software • Communicate effectively with operations to ensure timely information and data flow • Complete account reconciliations following the monthly close and make related adjusting entries as needed • Identify process improvement opportunities and make recommendations to management • Maintain process policies and procedures to prevent inaccuracies • Collaborate with the finance team to answer questions related to journal entries • Assist repair shops with parts inventory analysis • Mentor, train and develop staff accountants • Provide necessary schedules and information for the annual financial audit • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or related field. • Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field • Proficient in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation. • Demonstrated ability in Bank Account Reconciliation. • Experience with Adjusting Journal Entries is a must. • Solid understanding and competency in Journal Entries. • Skilled in Cash Reconciliations. • Ability to accurately Analyze Revenues. • Experience with Inventory Reconciliation. • Capable of creating and interpreting Inventory Reports.
