Description DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY!!! We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our organization in the oil and gas industry, located in Houston, Texas. This role involves managing various accounting tasks, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, as well as accounts payable and receivable. WHAT YOU GET TO DO EVERY DAY • Oversee general ledger accounting activities. • Conduct detailed financial reporting. • Manage day-to-day payment cycle activities efficiently. • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations in all financial reporting aspects. • Generate regular reports on accounts payable, receivable, expenses, investments, and cash management. • Verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to different records. • Collaborate on complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team. • Initiate and oversee procedures and plans focused on cost reduction. • Carry out month-end close procedures and prepare corresponding financial reports. Requirements KEYS FOR SUCCESS • A 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance, and 3+ years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must for this position. • Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a significant requirement for this role. • The candidate should have practical experience in performing Bank Reconciliations. • Knowledge and application of General Ledger is an essential requirement for this role. • The applicant needs to be adept at making Journal Entries. • Experience in performing Month End Close tasks is necessary for this role. • The candidate should have experience in managing Monthly Financial Close processes. • The applicant must be skilled in preparing and managing Monthly Accruals. • Proficiency in creating and managing Monthly Financial Reports is a significant requirement.
