Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Madison, Alabama. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of our organization. The role entails handling a variety of accounting tasks, including financial reporting, accruals, and managing accounts receivable and payable. Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain financial reports, ensuring they are accurate and timely • Handle accruals and ensure they are accurately recorded and updated • Act as a backup for accounts payable, ensuring all payments are made on time and records are kept up to date • Assist in accounts receivable tasks, ensuring all received payments are recorded accurately and in a timely manner • Handle fleet management tasks, including fuel card management, truck tagging and billing, and maintenance management • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner • Prepare and post journal entries as required • Utilize Excel to manage data, including the use of pivots, vlookups, and formulas • Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate • Utilize MS Dynamics for various accounting tasks • Handle account reconciliation tasks, ensuring all accounts are reconciled accurately and in a timely manner Requirements • Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Demonstrated ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations • Comprehensive understanding of the General Ledger • Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries • Proficiency in Excel • Experience in Month End Close processes • Familiarity with Accruals • Proficient in Financial Reporting • Experience with AP/AR • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance • Proficiency in Great Plains Dynamics Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
