Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to become an integral part of our team located in Austin, Texas. The primary role will be to manage customer applications, maintain accurate customer records, and resolve customer inquiries. The Sr. Accountant will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications in an efficient manner • Maintain precise records of customer credit • Coordinate the monthly closing of modules in Oracle • Consolidate companies and make eliminating entries • Generate accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports • Reconcile the general ledger control accounts to the subsidiary ledgers balance routinely • Conduct independent research into errors in coding of expenses monthly and develop correcting entries as needed • Respond to all IRS, TWC, and sales tax notices and coordinate all tax filings • Prepare audit schedules in support of the annual audit • Assist in identifying and resolving potential internal control issues • Write accounting and computer operating procedures using established accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices • Make recommendations for the continuous refinement of all accounting procedures • Adhere to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance, and Code of Conduct. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required • Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a must • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary • Knowledge of General Ledger management is essential • Proficient in creating and managing Journal Entries • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are expected • Familiarity with Month End Close processes is needed • Competency in using NetSuite is required • Oracle software proficiency is mandatory • Experience in using SAP is highly desired Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
