Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the automotive industry based in Deerfield. In this role, you will be primarily involved in GAAP accounting, leading the accounting team, and assisting with month end close activities. Responsibilities: • Supervise the execution and analysis of GAAP accounting procedures • Guide the accounting team in the processing of financial transactions • Oversee the month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion • Conduct a thorough review of financial statements and reports • Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements • Compile and record journal entries as part of the accounting process • Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations • Utilize Excel, QuickBooks, and Dynamics 365 Business Central in daily tasks and responsibilities. Requirements • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role in the insurance industry • Proven expertise in account reconciliation • Demonstrable skills in balance sheet reconciliation • Experience in bank reconciliations is mandatory • Proficiency in managing general ledger • Ability to prepare and maintain journal entries accurately • Advanced knowledge of Excel is required • Experience in month-end close processes • Proficiency in QuickBooks software • Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is considered an advantage Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
