Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the service industry, based in North Charleston, South Carolina. The role demands an individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles to join our team. Responsibilities • Conduct Account and Balance Sheet Reconciliations to ensure all financial reporting is accurate. • Manage Bank Reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. • Maintain the General Ledger, updating and verifying financial data. • Prepare and post Journal Entries, providing accurate record of company's financial transactions. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting. • Participate in the Month End Close process, ensuring all financial data is accounted for. • Implement and manage financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to streamline financial operations. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Demonstrated experience in a Senior Accountant role • Comprehensive understanding of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices • In-depth knowledge of cost accounting and regulatory standards • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software • Familiarity with financial software such as Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite • Exceptional skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations • Deep understanding of General Ledger and Journal Entries • Capability to manage the Month End Close process efficiently • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail oriented • Strong analytical skills and ability to make projections • Excellent organizational and leadership skills • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
