Emily Krous with Robert Half is in search for a Sr. Accountant to join her client's team. In this role, you will be tasked with various responsibilities, including the preparation of financial statements and reports, daily cash management, and the handling of accounts payable functions for affiliate billings. The industry we operate in is Construction, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals who have experience in Full Cycle Accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct month-end close activities, including the creation of both recurring and non-recurring adjusting journal entries.
• Generate financial statements based on GAAP, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, equity roll forward, among others.
• Execute consolidating eliminating journal entries.
• Develop month-end reports for management, such as cash flow by project and 3rd party debt schedules.
• Evaluate budget against actual financial results, detailing variances, and providing necessary explanations.
• Manage daily cash operations, such as deposits, wires to and from title, ACH withdrawals, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Create sales journals for closed homes within a specified timeframe.
• Review tax returns, reconcile to book results, and cross-verify all figures with supporting documentation.
• Handle accounts payable function for affiliate billings, including reviewing, coding, and posting.
• Perform additional duties as necessary, which may include fixed asset management, new company set up, new bank account set-up, builder’s exemption filings, property tax assessments, and documenting policies and procedures.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant is required.
• Demonstrable expertise in Full Cycle Accounting.
• Experience in the construction industry is essential.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong understanding and application of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Certification (such as CPA) is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
