Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the service industry, located in Memphis, Tennessee. This role revolves around managing various accounting tasks, including Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, and Cash Management. The individual will initially handle tasks individually but will gradually take on the responsibility of managing the staff. Responsibilities: • Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable efficiently • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations • Carry out account and balance sheet reconciliations • Manage cash including monitoring and reconciliation • Execute general ledger tasks and prepare journal entries • Ensure accurate month-end close processes • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks • Gradually take on the responsibility of managing the team after learning the job thoroughly • Maintain an organized and detailed approach to all tasks • Respond to and resolve any accounting inquiries. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is needed for this role. • Applicants must possess experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation. • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is mandatory. • Candidates should have a solid understanding of General Ledger management. • Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries is required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary. • Candidates must be capable of carrying out Month End Close tasks. • Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential. • Applicants should have a strong background in handling Accounts Payable (AP). • Knowledge of Cash Management is crucial for this role.
