Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Transportion industry, located in Orange Park, Florida, for a Sr. Accountant. Your main role will be to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, including customer credit applications, customer record maintenance, customer inquiries, and customer account monitoring.
Responsibilities:
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Review financial statements and conduct basic financial analysis
• Prepare and post detailed journal entries for all business operational activities
• Utilize SAP for various accounting tasks and operations
• Conduct review work of staff for accuracy and understanding
• Apply your skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
• Execute bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy
• Handle balance sheet reconciliations to ensure account accuracy
• Manage and respond to various AP related inquiries.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the transport industry
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Demonstrated experience with general ledger and journal entries
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and other complex functions
• Proven ability to manage month-end close procedures with accuracy and efficiency
• Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• High level of precision in preparing and entering financial information
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Excellent hands-on experience in handling accounting systems and procedures
• Certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred but not mandatory.
