Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. This role is pivotal in supporting our finance system, with a focus on grant/sponsored program accounting processes. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be part of a dynamic team, working on the implementation and stabilization of the Workday Finance system, and collaborating with business and research stakeholders to meet their needs and requirements. Responsibilities • Facilitate the delivery of an integrated and highly functioning Workday grants module. • Liaise with business and research stakeholders to identify needs and requirements. • Assist with Workday configuration, integrations, and data conversion. • Participate in the testing, training, and reporting of the Workday Finance system. • Provide post go-live support to ensure a smooth transition from the legacy accounting system to Workday Finance. • Implement and adhere to grant/sponsored program accounting processes and best practices. • Use your technical and problem-solving abilities to support the finance system. • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations. • Manage the accounting close process accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Applicant must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field. • Proficiency in Grant Accounting is a mandatory requirement for this role. • Candidate must have hands-on experience with Workday financial software. • Ability to assure compliance with financial regulations is crucial. • Familiarity with Financial Reporting is required. • Experience in executing the accounting close process is essential.
