Description Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a resourceful Senior Accountant consultant to support our PE-owned client for a 3-month on-site engagement in the Thousand Oaks, CA area. The consultant will work alongside the CFO and Controller to support recurring month-end close as well as various clean-up and ad hoc initiatives. Responsibilities are expected to include, but are not limited to, preparing journal entries, performing balance sheet and bank account reconciliations, researching anomalies and material variances, and preparing schedules and any necessary analysis. The ideal consultant will be resourceful, comfortable rolling up their sleeves, and in possession of strong communication skills (written and verbal). Responsibilities: + Support the CFO and Controller in recurring month-end close processes. + Prepare and record journal entries as part of general ledger accounting. + Conduct detailed balance sheet and bank account reconciliations. + Investigate and resolve any anomalies and material variances. + Prepare schedules and necessary analysis to support accounting activities. + Assist in various clean-up and ad hoc initiatives as required. + Utilize Microsoft Excel for creating schedules from scratch and performing large data analysis. + Ensure compliance with US GAAP in all accounting activities. Requirements + Prior experience using QuickBooks Enterprise is a plus + Comfortable working in large data environments + Prior experience in public accounting/ audit highly preferred + Prior experience in general ledger accounting + Experience preparing complex account reconciliations, booking journal entries, and performing accounting research + Strong Excel skills (ability to create schedules from scratch and perform large data analysis using v/h lookups, pivots, etc.) Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
