Description Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Sr. Accountant to support our growing beauty/cosmetics client on a 3–4-month hybrid engagement beginning immediately in Oxnard, California. The selected candidate will be expected to maintain the integrity of our accounting information, manage our general ledger, and support our month-end and year-end close processes. Responsibilities + Ensure integrity of accounting information by verifying and recording transactions. + Compile and analyze account information. + Manage general ledger including account set-up and posting functions. + Support month-end and year-end close including management of tasks maintained in closing checklist. + Prepare month-end billings recording revenue in accordance with GAAP. + Prepare month-end COGS entries associated with products sold. + Record and reconcile intercompany transactions. + Prepare month end reconciliations including subledgers to general ledger. + Review internal financial statements and investigate variances to forecasts. + Support sales & use tax audits as needed. + Provide supporting documentation for audits. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA track preferred. + The applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably as a Sr. Accountant. + Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting procedures and policies + Mastery in Account Reconciliation is a key requirement for this role. + Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential. + The candidate should have extensive experience in Bank Reconciliations. + Knowledge and experience with General Ledger management are necessary. + The ability to handle Journal Entries efficiently is required. + Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks is expected. + Experience in Month End Close activities is important. + Microsoft Dynamics Navision or comparable accounting software experience strongly preferred.
