Description We are in the process of adding a Sr. Accountant to our team, based in Orlando, Florida, 32801, United States. This role is primarily focused on construction accounting and administrative duties associated with all construction projects. Responsibilities: • Facilitate in-depth construction accounting and administrative tasks for all ongoing projects. • Coordinate the submission of bank draws in line with contract stipulations to secure prompt payments. • Oversee all accounting operations, including the month-end close process, the creation of operating budgets, and the generation of financial reports. • Project future cash flow requirements for upcoming projects, expenditures, investments, and tax liabilities. • Organize monthly finance project review meetings with the management team. • Coordinate the year-end audit and prepare tax return workpapers for external CPA firms. • Analyze and manage work in progress (WIP) reporting. • Act as a bridge between the project accounting team and project management team. • Aid in multi-family and commercial construction through budget creation, supplier contract review, production cost analysis, and invoice verification. • Foster strong, detail oriented relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. • Ensure maintenance of insurance requirements in compliance with Florida lien statutes. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • 5+ yaers' of Construction Accounting • Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Strong knowledge of General Ledger operations • Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel • Experience with Month End Close procedures Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
