Description
A prestigious manufacturing group in the Kimball, TN area is seeking for a talented Sr. Accountant to join their team. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of accounting functions, including maintaining a comprehensive and accurate general ledger, preparing financial reports, and resolving accounting issues. Additional responsibilities are below.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of general ledger activities.
• Generate accurate and timely financial reports for both internal and external usage.
• Manage the monthly accounting closure process for assigned functions.
• Take part in the analysis of general ledger accounts.
• Responsible for the preparation and posting of recurring, standard, and monthly journal entries.
• Review and process invoices to substantiate business transactions.
• Prepare reports, summaries, and charts as required.
• Execute the reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Resolve report discrepancies and interpret computer reports.
• Provide assistance to employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external auditors, providing client prepared schedules promptly.
• Monitor capital expenditures and coordinate project submissions and project closeouts.
• Perform revenue recognition controls.
• Handle various productivity and labor reporting.
• Conduct various ad-hoc reporting.
Requirements
• 3+ year of accounting and finance experience
• Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger
• Bachelor's Degree is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close
• Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or BlackLine software is a plus
