Description POSITION PURPOSE AND EXPECTATION: We have an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our Banking team within the Finance team. This role will provide support to the Banking and wider Finance team by helping to prepare store banking reconciliations, Retail Operations reporting and month-end journals. Assistant Accountants are also a key member of the finance team who are responsible for the finalisation of month-end and year-end accounts. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for: · Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of: o Daily Banking Functions & reporting o Daily Banking reconciliations for stores o Weekly Cash variance & missed banking reporting o Variance investigations and working with Loss Prevention team o Weekly Petty Cash expenditure reporting o Weekly upload of bank statement into Oracle o Weekly AP payment reconciliations in Oracle o Monthly Gift voucher liability reconciliations and reporting · Month-end functions & reporting o Monthly Bank account reconciliations and Balance Sheet o Monthly till difference journals o Monthly cash-in-transit reconciliations and accounting o Monthly Cash Clearing account reconciliations o Monthly Centre Voucher liability reconciliations o Monthly Turnover reporting · Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required **For confidential consideration, please apply directly with your resume or call Allysa Bayly at (562) 800-3770.
