Description We are hiring a Sr. Accountant in Virginia Beach, Virginia for a growing organization. This role involves overseeing the accounting for the company's credit agreement, preparing GAAP financial statements, managing corporate allocations to the branches, and working across departments to improve processes and resolve issues related to financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Overseeing the consolidation and intercompany processes • Facilitating the preparation of GAAP financial statements and reports • Ensuring accurate accounting records, general ledger, and subledgers • Managing the company's credit agreement accounting • Handling corporate allocations to the branches • Preparing the statement of Cash Flows on a monthly basis • Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations in support of the month-end close process • Assisting in the annual audit with external auditors • Working across departments to improve processes and resolve issues related to financial reporting • Assisting with ad hoc projects and management inquiries. Interested candidates please contact Tamara Young 757-981-0974 Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is mandatory. • Must be able to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation. • Experience in Bank Reconciliations is required. • Applicant should have a solid understanding of General Ledger processes. • Ability to create and manage Journal Entries is essential. • Must have advanced competence in Microsoft Excel. • Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary. • Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus. • Proficiency in Oracle financial software is preferred. • Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable.
