Description
We are offering contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Minnesota, in the Insurance industry. The Sr. Accountant will play a crucial role in managing account reconciliations, maintaining an organized ledger, and assisting in the enhancement of reconciliation processes. This role will also involve a degree of independence and problem-solving, requiring proficiency in various accounting software.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date
• Assist in the development of new procedures around reconciliations to enhance efficiency
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Conduct month-end close procedures and ensure all entries are accurately recorded
• Leverage knowledge of software such as SAP to process and analyze financial data
• Independently solve problems and handle tasks related to reconciliations without requiring constant supervision
• Work closely with auditing teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Assist in training new team members and sharing knowledge about reconciliation processes and software
• Handle any additional tasks related to account management and reconciliation as needed.
Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.
• Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a must.
• Experience in Bank Reconciliations is essential.
• The applicant must have extensive knowledge of the General Ledger.
• Ability to make accurate Journal Entries is necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience in conducting Month End Close is a must.
• Knowledge of SAP is essential.
