Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the retail industry based in Torrance, California. We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to contribute to our team. The primary focus of your role will be to handle various non-inventory accounting functions including but not limited to prepaids, journal entries, operational reviews, expenses, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities • Oversee and manage prepaid, journal entries, and fixed assets • Handle general ledger reconciliations and monthly account reconciliations • Ensure financial reporting is accurate through conducting bank reconciliations • Assist in financial analysis by reviewing operational expenses • Contribute to the efficiency of the month-end and year-end close processes • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless accounting operations. Requirements • Significant experience in the retail industry is required • Familiarity with Account Reconciliation processes • Proficiency in performing Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Ability to efficiently conduct Bank Reconciliations • Extensive knowledge of managing a General Ledger • Experience in preparing and maintaining Journal Entries • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Knowledge of NetSuite financial software is necessary • Familiarity with Oracle financial management system • Experience with SAP financial software is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
