Sr. Accountant
Description We are in search of a skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This role involves handling complex accounting tasks, including analysis and management of indirect taxes, journal entries, reconciliations, and tax reporting on a global platform. The successful candidate will also provide guidance to our AR and billing teams, manage intercompany accounting and reporting processes, and play a pivotal role in the monthly/quarterly/yearly close processes. Responsibilities • Handle all aspects of indirect taxes including review, analysis, filing, and accounting • Ensure accurate preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliations as part of the monthly closing process • Assist with tax reporting and data collection • Oversee the annual calculation process of deferred taxes across the global platform • Act as a point of advice for AR and billing teams on sales tax invoicing issues • Coordinate the annual income tax package submission process • Liaise with tax authorities regarding tax payment matters and identify tax savings opportunities globally • Supervise intercompany accounting and reporting processes • Participate in balance sheet reviews and ensure compliance of assigned SOX and audit areas for general accounting • Act as the primary contact for any sales and use tax audits, providing necessary documentation to auditors • Lead the monthly/quarterly/yearly close process and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met • Communicate findings to management effectively and develop and implement process improvements • Manage all global tax-related submissions Requirements • Possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation, ensuring accurate and timely completion of this critical accounting task. • Proven experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, maintaining financial integrity by regularly reviewing and reconciling various accounts. • Demonstrated expertise in Bank Reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly resolved. • Proficient in handling General Ledger tasks, including reviewing, posting, and reconciling journal entries. • Ability to create and maintain Journal Entries, ensuring accurate recording of all business transactions. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex formulas, generate reports, and present financial data. • Experience in handling Month End Close activities, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and books are closed in an accurate and timely manner. • Knowledge of Corporate Income Tax, with the ability to prepare and review tax returns, and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
