Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in our Detail Oriented Services industry based in a location in Colorado. As a Sr. Accountant, your main function will be to support our day to day accounting operations. Responsibilities: • Execute account and balance sheet reconciliations • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify financial transactions • Maintain the general ledger and ensure its accuracy • Prepare and post journal entries to track all business transactions • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data management • Conduct month end close processes to finalize accounting records • Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Sage Intacct for various accounting tasks • Ensure all accounting procedures comply with regulations. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards. • Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation, demonstrating ability to verify the integrity of data, confirm accuracy of reported amounts and classify correctly. • Expertise in Bank Reconciliations, ensuring all cash flows are accounted for and accurately reflected. • In-depth knowledge of General Ledger management, including the ability to maintain, prepare, and reconcile financial reports. • Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries, ensuring accuracy of financial data. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including creating complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros. • Experience with Month End Close processes, demonstrating ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy. • Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Sage Intacct financial software, showcasing ability to operate and navigate various systems. • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively, demonstrating strong organizational skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; detail oriented certification (e.g. CMA, CPA) is a plus. • Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant. • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles. • Awareness of business trends. • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
