Sr. Accountant
Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to become a part of our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Bruce, Wisconsin. Key responsibilities: • Efficiently manage and complete monthly accounting close process in accordance with GAAP • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reports and analyses • Investigate discrepancies and trends in financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets • Conduct financial analyses to identify significant, unusual, or unexpected variances • Communicate accounting matters with other departments and functions as needed • Provide support to finance teams in budgeting/forecasting processes • Assist in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with company policies • Gather and analyze financial data to prepare financial reports for management decision making • Lead or assist in large or complex accounting-related projects • Identify opportunities for process improvement within areas of responsibility. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role • Proven proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations • Demonstrated expertise in maintaining general ledgers and making journal entries • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting • Experience with month-end close processes and procedures • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
