Description Our client in the Westchester area has an opening for a Senior Accountant on a consulting basis. The Senior Accountant will primarily be focused on managing state taxes, bank reconciliations, and daily cash processes. The ideal candidate must have a broad understanding of tax matters and recognizes the significance of regulatory and compliance issues. The duration of this project will be approximately 6-8 weeks. Responsibilities: • Organizing and managing state taxes, including sales, franchise and property tax notices • Handling a backlog of state tax work along with current and incoming items • Responding to tax notices across multiple states • Managing bank reconciliations and daily cash processes • Maintaining an awareness of the urgency and importance of regulatory and compliance matters • Utilizing NetSuite for the management of bank reconciliations, though this is not a requirement.
