Description Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Reconciliations: Oversee and manage reconciliations of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead key aspects of the month-end and year-end close processes, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Compliance and Auditing: Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant reporting standards. Process Optimization: Proactively identify areas for process improvement and contribute to projects aimed at streamlining accounting operations, including enhancements in ERP and AI platforms. Technical Accounting: Perform in-depth research and interpretation of complex accounting principles to ensure compliance in reporting new or unique transactions. Collaboration: Work closely with finance, business analytics, and operations teams to provide financial insights and support strategic objectives. Mentoring Opportunities: Potentially assist in mentoring and upskilling entry level accounting staff in advanced Excel techniques and ERP systems. Requirements Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred or actively pursuing. Experience: 4-6 years in an accounting or financial reporting role, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPS) Familiarity with financial reporting tools and compliance reporting. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Industry Knowledge: Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: Financial services, construction, real estate, healthcare, or manufacturing.
