Sr. Accountant
Description We are extending an invitation to a skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management sector, based in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves managing various accounting tasks, including invoice preparation, project budget review, and creating government reports and tax returns related to construction projects. The incumbent will also oversee customer inquiries and maintain accurate records. Responsibilities: • Oversee the preparation of monthly invoices for all billable projects, ensuring all necessary documentation is included. • Conduct monthly meetings with the construction/project management team to discuss upcoming projections and billings. • Implement new projects in Job Cost and maintain relevant spreadsheets regularly. • Investigate project variances and prepare detailed variance reports for management review. • Generate government reports and tax returns related to construction projects in a timely manner. • Manage the creation and approval of all project-related billings to customers, ensuring clear communication to prevent misunderstandings. • Review project budgets, including assessing fee structures, staffing, and work plans. • Ensure a steady cash flow by auditing, generating, and sending invoices promptly. • Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP to perform accounting tasks effectively. Requirements • Candidate must have experience in Account Reconciliation. • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required. • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is mandatory. • Familiarity with General Ledger is expected. • Ability to handle Journal Entries is necessary. • Competence in Microsoft Excel is a must. • Experience in Month End Close is required. • Knowledge of NetSuite is essential. • Proficiency in Oracle is expected. • Familiarity with SAP is a significant advantage.
