Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in San Leandro, California. In this role, you will be expected to handle a variety of accounting tasks, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. This position is situated in the finance industry and offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to showcase their expertise. Responsibilities: + Prepare and review financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. + Lead the close process at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. + Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance with all relevant tax regulations. + Manage payroll processing through ADP, ensuring precision and adherence to regulations. + Supervise Staff Accountants managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. + Oversee and reconcile intercompany transactions between affiliated entities. + Assist external auditors by providing necessary documentation for annual audits. + Lead and mentor a team of two Staff Accountants, promoting a cooperative and efficient work environment. + Maintain consistent communication with the international office via email and phone. + Provide support for basic HR functions as required. + Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. + Over 5 years of progressive experience in accounting. + In-depth knowledge of GAAP principles. + Experience with ADP payroll system. + Familiarity with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team. + Proficient in Cantonese and Mandarin. + Experience in managing and leading staff. + Knowledge of intercompany transactions. + Ability to work from 7am to 3:30pm.
