Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Yarmouth, Maine. In this role, you will be integral in managing financial activities, including oversight, reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance. As a Sr. Accountant, you will also have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills by overseeing departmental functions, fostering relationships with clients, and guiding bookkeepers. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage general ledger activities. • Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations. • Review and process bank reconciliations. • Prepare and post journal entries for the month-end close process. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial reports and special projects. • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all monthly financial information. • Manage the preparation and submission of sales tax returns. Requirements • Possess strong proficiency in Account Reconciliation • Must be able to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation tasks efficiently • Expected to handle Bank Reconciliations with accuracy • Requires comprehensive knowledge in managing General Ledger • Ability to make Journal Entries with precision is essential • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel • Experience with Month End Close activities is required • Proficiency in using QuickBooks software is vital • Familiarity with preparing Sales Tax Returns is necessary Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
