Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate reporting and reconciliation of business accounts, auditing of financial records, and providing financial insights to management. You will also be tasked with overseeing accounting staff, ensuring compliance with financial laws, and maintaining financial security within the company. Responsibilities: • Analyzing accounting data and preparing comprehensive reports to provide financial insights to management. • Compiling and analyzing account information to prepare entries for assets, liabilities, and capital accounts. • Documenting financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. • Evaluating accounting options and scenarios to recommend financial actions. • Preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and additional reports to summarize current financial status. • Auditing documentation to verify the accuracy of financial transactions. • Developing and recommending policies and procedures to maintain and enhance accounting controls. • Addressing questions and coordinating activities as part of overseeing and guiding accounting staff. • Collecting and analyzing account information to resolve financial discrepancies. • Performing regular database backups to secure financial information. • Adhering to internal controls to maintain financial security. • Ensuring all documentation meets compliance standards while preparing and verifying payments. • Interpreting policies and regulations to address accounting procedure inquiries. • Monitoring legislation and advising management on necessary actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws. • Analyzing and summarizing trends and account information to develop specialized financial reports. • Maintaining confidentiality of financial information to protect company operations. Requirements • Applicant must possess a deep understanding and practical experience with Account Reconciliation • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a key requirement for this role • Familiarity and experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential • Must have a strong grasp of General Ledger management • Experience with Journal Entries is a must for this position • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary for this role • Applicant must be proficient in Month End Close procedures • Experience with NetSuite is a significant advantage for this role • Knowledge and practical experience with Oracle is required • Familiarity with SAP is highly desirable • Proficiency in QuickBooks is an essential requirement for this position.
