Sr. Accountant
Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing key insights to drive financial efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS. + Perform cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and margin analysis. + Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations. + Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, prepaid, fixed assets, and inventory. + Maintain and analyze inventory valuation, including cycle counts and adjustments. + Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. + Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. + Develop and implement financial policies and controls to enhance operational efficiency. + Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial policies, and corporate reporting requirements. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and supply chain, to optimize cost management strategies. + Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred). + 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. + Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management. + Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. + Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
