Description
We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be expected to oversee various financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with standard accounting practices.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the operations of Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) while ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP
• Collaborate with the Endowment Team in the Grant process, recording transactions accurately in the General Ledger
• Reconcile externally invested supporting foundations' brokerage statements to the general ledger on a monthly basis
• Prepare and review adjusting journal entries as required
• Review contributions, investment income, fees, realized/unrealized gains and losses, and disbursements for endowment and restricted funds
• Assist in the preparation of all tax filings and supporting schedules
• Conduct audits of bank and investment account reconciliations
• Record fixed asset transactions, track additions/disposals, and file property tax reports
• Prepare schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, grants payable, and multi-year grant liabilities
• Work closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate receipt and transmission of funds
• Troubleshoot credit card discrepancies and respond to donor financial inquiries
• Assist with the annual audit and compliance reporting.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000.

Requirements
MIP software experience required
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge of General Ledger management
• Familiarity with Journal Entries creation and management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Experience with Endowment Funds management
• Demonstrated Leadership Skills
• Knowledge of US GAAP standards and regulations
• Experience with Investment Accounts
• Familiarity with Grant Accounting
• Ability to deliver accurate Financial Reporting
• Experience in Fixed Asset Accounting
• Familiarity with Audit procedures
• Knowledge of Compliance requirements in accounting field
