Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Washington, District of Columbia, United States. The chosen candidate will primarily focus on account and balance sheet reconciliations, along with other accounting duties. This role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid work arrangement in Washington, DC. Responsibilities: • Handle balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and credit card accounts. • Address an array of accounting responsibilities as required. • Work collaboratively with the team to guarantee accurate and timely financial reporting. • Apply meticulous attention to detail to ensure precision in all tasks. • Use skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Microsoft Excel for efficient Month End Close. Requirements • Applicants must have a minimum of three years of experience working in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant. • Proficiency in account reconciliation is required to ensure accurate financial records. • Experience with balance sheet reconciliation is essential for maintaining correct accounts. • Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations is necessary to ensure all transactions are accounted for. • Applicants should have a solid understanding of the general ledger and its functionalities. • Experience in making journal entries is necessary for maintaining accurate financial records. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for creating and managing financial spreadsheets. • Applicants should have experience with month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
