Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In this role, you will be focusing on maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring fiscal accuracy. Your expertise in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance will be vital to our operations. Responsibilities: • Conducting thorough account reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy. • Performing balance sheet reconciliation to maintain the integrity of financial information. • Executing bank reconciliations to confirm all transactions are accurately recorded. • Maintaining the general ledger by overseeing accurate and timely data entry. • Preparing journal entries to document financial transactions. • Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting. • Overseeing the month-end close process to ensure timely financial reporting. • Operating Oracle software for financial management and reporting. • Utilizing Blackbaud software for non-profit accounting and fundraising management. Requirements • Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial discrepancies are identified and resolved efficiently. • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and up-to-date. • Experience in executing Bank Reconciliations is mandatory to maintain accurate financial records. • Must have a solid understanding of General Ledger management, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately. • Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries is required, ensuring all financial transactions are documented correctly. • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, demonstrating strong data analysis and reporting skills. • Familiarity with Month End Close processes is essential, ensuring all financial tasks are completed in a timely manner. • Experience with Oracle financial software is necessary to manage and process financial data. • Knowledge of Blackbaud software is required to manage and track donations and other financial transactions in the non-profit sector.
