Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Healthcare/NHS industry based in Charleston, South Carolina, United States. The role is for a Sr. Accountant, who will be tasked with managing compliance and funding accounting, with a focus on payroll accounting. Responsibilities: • Oversee all 10-Key Accounting tasks ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Handle payroll accounts, ensuring they are reconciled appropriately. • Conduct regular bank reconciliations, keeping a meticulous record of all transactions. • Perform cash reconciliations, verifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly. • Carry out financial reconciliation tasks, maintaining the integrity of financial records. • Comply with all relevant regulations related to managing compliance and funding accounting. • Use your skills to help improve and streamline our accounting processes. • Play a crucial role in our team, collaborating with colleagues and contributing to our detail-oriented work environment. • Be proactive in identifying potential issues or improvements in our accounting processes. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes, applying this knowledge to your role. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Healthcare or NHS industry. • Proficiency in 10-Key accounting is required for efficient data entry and calculations. • Experience in reconciling payroll is essential, as this role will involve managing and resolving any discrepancies in payroll data. • The role demands experience in bank reconciliations, with the responsibility of confirming the company's financial records align with the bank's records. • The applicant should have a solid background in cash reconciliations, ensuring all cash transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. • Proficiency in financial reconciliation is crucial, as the role involves ensuring all financial transactions match up between statements and recorded figures in the accounting system.
