Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team based in Washington, District of Columbia. The primary focus of this role will involve conducting key accounting tasks such as account payables, payroll, general accounting and reporting. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications and maintain records • Review and approve all invoice and expense report payments on a weekly basis, ensuring appropriate cost allocations • Assist in managing vendor setup, encouraging vendors to set up ACH information • Handle the processing of approved invoices and payment requests every week • Oversee the management of corporate credit card transactions, ensuring all receipts are documented and coded reasonably • Conduct bi-weekly payroll processing for all salary and hourly employees • Prepare journal entries as required and assist in monthly closing activities • Perform reconciliations of fixed assets, employee receivables, and other assigned accounts • Assist in the preparation for the Annual External Financial Statement Audit • Communicate effectively with stakeholders as needed for task completion. If you are interested Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 1 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role • Previous experience in Non-profit Accounting • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required • Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a must • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary • Must have a strong understanding of General Ledger management • Proficiency in Journal Entries is needed • Must be skilled at using Microsoft Excel • Familiarity with Month End Close process is required • Experience with NetSuite software is necessary If you are interested in this Sr. Accountant role, please reach out to Cesario Brooks via LinkedIn.
