Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the security industry, located in Uniondale, New York. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. Your role will also involve maintaining the general ledger, creating journal entries, and utilizing various software such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP. Responsibilities • Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and rectify any discrepancies found • Carry out bank reconciliations regularly to ensure financial accuracy • Maintain and update the general ledger system for accurate record-keeping • Generate journal entries and input them into the accounting software • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting • Perform month-end close procedures efficiently and accurately • Operate NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software for various accounting tasks • Ensure all financial operations align with the current financial legislation and regulations. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar. • Proficiency in account reconciliation is mandatory. • Experience in balance sheet reconciliation is required. • Capability to handle bank reconciliations is essential. • Demonstrated experience in managing general ledgers is necessary. • Must be proficient in making journal entries. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required. • Experience in month end close activities is necessary. • Proficiency in using NetSuite is a plus. • Experience with Oracle is highly desirable. • Knowledge of SAP is required.
