Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Dallas, Texas, for a Sr. Accountant to join our team. This role is integral to our accounting operations, with duties including the development of processes, business growth support, and assisting new practices. The Sr. Accountant will also transition our accounting system from Quickbooks Online to a new platform.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accuracy of general ledger accounts and financial transactions
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and manage month-end/year-end closing processes
• Assist in integrating new practices into our platform, including converting books from cash to accrual in accordance with GAAP
• Work closely with billing and reimbursement teams to track revenue streams, ensuring proper recording of patient revenues, insurance claims, and payment collections
• Manage and reconcile intercompany receivables and payables, investigating discrepancies and resolving financial reporting issues
• Assist with various quarterly and annual tax filings, and comply with tax laws
• Support analysis of reimbursement rates and payer contracts
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in compliance with GAAP and healthcare financial regulations
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing financial data and reports, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the Accounting close process
• Assist with financial forecasting and variance analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality
• Assist with budgets for various healthcare departments
• Assist with monthly financial management meetings with each of our practices. Requirements • Proven experience in Account Reconciliation is necessary for this role.
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required.
• The candidate must have a strong background in Bank Reconciliations.
• Mastery of General Ledger management is expected.
• The ability to handle Journal Entries accurately and efficiently is a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this position.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is required.
• Familiarity with NetSuite software is a significant advantage.
• Experience with Oracle systems is highly desired.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP systems is necessary.
