Sr. Accountant/Corporate Reporting
Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous and experienced Sr. Accountant/Corporate Reporting for our Manufacturing operations based inCommack, New York. The selected candidate will be tasked with handling a variety of accounting responsibilities, including processing financial information, utilizing software such as OneStream and SAP, and managing corporate financial data. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handling and processing corporate financial information across geography, segment, and category. • Utilizing OneStream to retrieve necessary information for reporting. • Ensuring accurate preparation of information for quarterly reporting deck. • Performing data analysis to provide commentary on results and variance versus plan. • Employing Microsoft Excel - pivot tables, macros, index, and match for data management. • Conducting account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. • Maintaining the general ledger and making necessary journal entries. • Reviewing month end close processes. Please contact Lorrain at (631) 759-5072 for more information Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Accounting, preferably in the Manufacturing industry. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. • Extensive experience with General Ledger operations and Journal Entries. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. • Expertise in performing Month End Close activities and procedures. • Familiarity and experience with SAP and OneStream financial software. • Exceptional understanding of corporate reporting and its relevance in the manufacturing industry. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; CPA or MBA is preferred. • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
