Sr. Accounting Analyst

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accounting Analyst in Holland, Michigan. This role involves providing general accounting support, including preparation and posting of journal entries, reconciling accounts, and month-end closing activities. You will also be involved in the creation of financial statements for the annual audit and coordination with external auditors. Interacting and communicating effectively across all levels of the business is an integral part of this role.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary supporting documentation
• Participate in the monthly financial closing process
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of quarterly financial updates for various departments
• Contribute to the overall maintenance of financial systems and software, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation
• Analyze and reconcile various general ledger accounts monthly following the close calendar
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close process
• Analyze and implement new accounting standards in line with US GAAP and IFRS
• Assist teams across the company with various topics and issues, mentoring finance personnel when necessary
• Maintain procedures to comply with internal control requirements, identifying process improvements and efficiencies
• Foster a continuous improvement mindset across all company processes Requirements • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accounting Analyst or equivalent
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger management
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Strong skills in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting
• Experience with Month End Close procedures and tasks
• Knowledge and experience in using Plex Manufacturing ERP for accounting processes
• Proficiency in using Plexia for financial operations
• Experience in preparing and analyzing Consolidated Financial Statements
