Position Overview As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you’ll be responsible for overseeing project finances, ensuring budgets are maintained, and providing key financial insights. You’ll work closely with project managers to track costs, forecast expenses, and analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities + Set up and integrate job estimates into the accounting system + Monitor and analyze project activities to ensure financial accuracy. + Prepare and manage subcontracts, process invoices, and reconcile costs within project budgets. + Handle customer pay applications and update project financials as needed. + Collaborate with field teams and management to assess budget projections and provide recommendations. + Track and forecast project costs, identifying potential overruns before they occur. + Analyze project expenditures, investigate discrepancies, and maintain financial transparency. + Manage project invoicing and ensure accuracy in billing processes. + Oversee vendor invoices and manage accounts payable related to project expenses. + Conduct financial assessments to optimize costs and maximize profitability. + Work with project managers to align financial insights with project goals and timelines. + Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. + Perform additional accounting duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications & Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. + Experience with construction accounting software such as Costpoint, Timberline or Vista by Viewpoint is a plus. + Ability to manage multiple projects and work across different accounting modules. + 3+ years of experience in construction-related accounting or financial analysis - Senior level role -Required + Strong collaboration and communication skills to support project teams. + Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. + Understanding of project management processes. + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. + High level of accuracy and accountability. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
