Description We are on the hunt for a Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts. The role involves a strong focus on accounting functions, requiring proficiency in accounting software systems and an understanding of accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining precise accounts payable records and ensuring the timely processing of vendor invoices. Responsibilities: • Efficiently process vendor invoices and schedule check payment processes regularly. • Maintain accurate records in the company business system, including accounts payable reports, scanned paid invoices, and spreadsheets. • Handle the review of invoices for proper documentation and approval before processing payments. • Match invoices to receiving support documents and ensure timely payments. • Investigate and correct any misposted invoices or incorrect entries in Yardi. • Assist in monthly closing procedures as directed. • Respond to other departments' requests for A/P invoice or check payment support retrieval. • Prepare special reports as directed. • Work across multiple entities as required. Requirements • Must possess a strong understanding of Account Coding • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required • Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services is essential • Experience with Concur software is desirable • Ability to perform Data Processing tasks efficiently • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions • Extensive experience in Accounts Payable (AP) • Familiarity with Accrual Accounting principles • Auditing skills are required • Proficiency in using Yardi software is a plus • Ability to manage Journal Entries accurately • Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance and management Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
