The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
The Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) within JOID provides technical, programmatic and analytical support to customers with missions in national security to include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Group brings technical and operational expertise in fields of countering weapons of mass destruction, critical infrastructure protection, emergency response, nuclear non-proliferation, weapons deployment programs, and transportation safety. In addition to management and advisory services, CIG staff collaborate closely with our clients to provide high-quality modeling, simulation, software, and analytical products to meet the most demanding government standards and timelines.
We have a near-term need for a SME and Sr. Acquisition Logistics Analyst to provide support to DHS Customs and Border Protection (CBP) customers located in the Northern Virginia area. This position allows for a hybrid work schedule.
ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will plan and conduct Independent Logistics Assessments for acquisition and legacy programs in support of the Acquisition milestone reviews and decisions. They will support the full systems logistics lifecycle including developing and implementing life-cycle sustainment requirements for new programs and providing management support for systems in the support phase.
The candidate will support development of acquisition, implementation and sustainment planning activities and documentation including lifecycle logistics policy, Cost-Wise Readiness (CWR) analysis and reviews, Integrated Logistics Support Plans, Logistics Requirements Funding Plans, Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE), and Test and Evaluation Master Plans. The Candidate will support the training development for the CBP life cycle logistics workforce.
Required:
Ability to obtain DHS Suitability and/or Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Background InvestigationBachelors Degree and 10+ years of demonstrated acquisition logistics planning and sustainment experienceDemonstrated experience with major program acquisition and lifecycle logistics management at DHS or DoDExperience with analytical tools and business applications to enhance logistical planning, system performance, and reduce system life-cycle costsDesired:
