Sr. Administrator, Medical Affairs Myeloma Interpretation and New Test Feasibility

The Senior Administrator is accountable for providing global technical support, customer support, and database administration. The Senior Administrator provides technical consultation to the Sales/Client Support while quotes are prepared for current and future clients. This support includes advising staff on medical/technical issues and supports New Test Feasibility. Reviews laboratory data, including historical results, and interprets and codes internal lab data from myeloma studies (SPEP, SIFE, UPEP and SIFE).
**Duties and Responsibilities** :
+ Serves as a technical expert by reviewing clinical protocols, statement of work (SOW), sponsor templates or other information from sponsor to assist Client Services to enter correct lab analytes into the RFP/PS system and to identify new test feasibilities to produce an accurate quote for Sales to present to the sponsor.
+ Support the New Test Feasibility process by researching assays and methodologies as needed and facilitating meetings.
+ Creates and maintains training documents to help Client Services enter correct information into the RFP/quote. .
+ Works with laboratory management to create cost sheet for new or modified assays.
+ Provide interpretations for Multiple Myeloma projects. Reviews laboratory data, including historical results, and interprets and codes internal lab data from myeloma studies (SPEP, SIFE, UPEP and SIFE) in Indianapolis and all global CLS laboratory sites. Involved in Technical Conference calls to sponsors to discuss laboratory technical information and to help interpret what lab analytes need to be quoted or to explain how our laboratory analytes are quoted and performed.
+ Prepares internal raw laboratory data from myeloma studies (SPEP, SIFE, UPEP and SIFE) in Indianapolis and transmitted via email from other Labcorp CLS laboratories
+ Assists Scientific Affairs Manager with updating/writing method summaries.
+ Provides triage support for incoming Medical/technical requests, able to answer general and technical questions.
+ Serves as a back up to their global counterpart during vacation/holidays.
+ Serves as PIC (person in charge) or backup for the Medical Affairs Manager.
+ Comply with regulatory guidelines, Universal Precautions and Covance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times
+ Maintain personal training file and documentation.
+ Provides a written monthly report to the Unit Manager and complete monthly key metrics report.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Experience:**
+ Three to five years of laboratory experience.
+ Experience in scientific area
+ Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently
+ Knowledge of the clinical trial process, Labcorp experience and customer service experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Microsoft word.
**Education:**
Minimum Education: BS, Medical Technology or BS, Life Science
This job is performing high complexity testing and must:
+ Possess a current license issued by the State in which the laboratory is located
+ Meet one of the following requirements:
+ Be a doctor of medicine, doctor of osteopathy, or doctor of podiatric medicine licensed to practice medicine, osteopathy, or podiatry in the State in which the laboratory is located; or
+ Have earned a doctoral, master's, or bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
+ Have earned an associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or—
+ Have education and training equivalent that includes—
+ At least 60 semester hours, or equivalent, from an accredited institution that, at a minimum, includes either—
+ Twenty-four (24) semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses; or
+ Twenty-four (24) semester hours of science courses that include—
+ Six (6) semester hours of chemistry;
+ Six (6) semester hours of biology; and
+ Have laboratory training that includes:
+ Completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES or the CAAHEP (this training may be included in the 60 semester or
+ At least 3 months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing; or
+ Successful completion of an official U.S. military medical laboratory procedures training course of at least 50 weeks duration and having held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician); or
+ Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, an individual is considered qualified as a high complexity testing personnel under this section if they were qualified and serving as a high complexity testing personnel in a CLIA-certified laboratory as of December 28, 2024, and have done so continuously since December 28, 2024)
