Sr. Agile Project Manager - Data Platform/Services
Job Description As part of the Technology Program Management team supporting the Data Platform teams, youll join a passionate group of technologists addressing complex challenges in dynamic, production-centric, and data-driven environments. Whether supporting production technology, managing data systems that enable financial operations, or delivering consumer-facing applications, our teams propel it's organization's legacy forward. We are seeking an Agile Project Manager to lead large-scale, cross-functional data platform initiatives and ensure operational excellence. This role combines project management, agile methodology, and technical expertise to drive impactful solutions for production, data, and technology projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your project management expertise, technical knowledge. - Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of high-visibility, complex projects spanning internal departments and external vendors. - Collaborate with Data Product Managers to define project scope, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation for technology initiatives. - Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, tracking progress, risks, issues, and resource needs. - Manage day-to-day activities for project team members, ensuring blockers are removed and team throughput is maximized. - Lead sprint ceremonies, including planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and reporting. - Drive release planning, communication, and coordination to ensure smooth production rollouts. - Escalate project and team-related issues to management as needed. - Lead large-scale, complex projects that span internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors. - Oversee quarterly portfolio planning, project road mapping, resource capacity planning, and defining objectives and key results (OKRs). - Maintain KPI dashboards to track program metrics using tools like MS Power BI. - Establish and track OKRs to align project outcomes with organizational goals. - Assess, acquire, and maintain project management tools to support team operations. - Manage Jira boards to ensure alignment of workflows with team processes. - Track and report on licensing costs for software. - Organize and maintain project documentation and artifacts in a clear and accessible manner. - Provide production support, resolving issues efficiently. - Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders, managing work intake, providing weekly status updates, and communicating risks, blockers, and priorities. - Facilitate collaboration between data product managers, data engineers, data scientists, partner teams, and vendors to meet operational goals. - Monitor resource time tracking and identify staffing needs to optimize project delivery. - Establish, track, and report on project progress (key tasks and milestones), risks, and issues, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders and program management. - Create workflow diagrams to identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiency. - Deliver clear, engaging presentations and business cases to drive decision-making. Skills and Requirements - 5 plus years of experience in technical project management, utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies. - Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects, including data-focused and production-oriented initiatives. - Strong background in managing cross-functional technical teams, including software developers and IT operations. - Expertise in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet) and process mapping tools (e.g., LucidChart). - Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Project Tools(PPM Tools): - Proficiency with Agile tools (Jira), Microsoft Office/Google/Atlassian Suites, process mapping/diagramming software, Monday.com, Smartsheet's, and other project tools. - Onsite 2 to 3 times per week. - Experience working in media, entertainment, or production environments. - Consulting experience. - Certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master (CSM). - Bachelors degree in science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
