Position Summary + The Senior Data Analyst is a critical component of the Enterprise Data and Analytics team. The role reports to the Manager of Analytics. This person will manage a portfolio of advanced analytic use cases, proofs of concept, and experiments that advance Energizer’s analytics environment. This role will combine a subject-matter expert knowledge of techniques in advanced analytics and statistical analysis (e.g., regression, clustering, machine learning) with solid business acumen to unlock value within the ecosystem of Energizer. + The Senior Data Analyst will work with members of the team to develop and apply descriptive and contextual analytics products such as dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations. Combining deep experience in business analytics and statistics, s/he will support the team by identifying new and existing analytics problems that can be solved by statistical analysis, data storytelling, and deep business acumen. It is also the duty of this role to validate, interpret, and create reports for senior management, departmental heads, and relevant stakeholders. + The Senior Data Analyst will participate in the development of analytic data/feature sets that are purpose-built for streamlined statistical and analytical analysis. In this capacity, s/he will strive to improve the quality of data that is modeled and delivered for ongoing statistically informed business analysis. Responsibilities + 60% - Business Analytics and Statistical Analysis: Develop and support Energizer’s analytics capabilities through business analysis, statistical analysis, and data science applications. Leverage current and participate in the creation of new data sources that are optimized for statistical analysis. + 20% - Communication: Develop and present analytic products to various levels of departmental leadership, cross-functional groups, peers, and functional groups. + 10% - Program Management: Participates in the translation of the Enterprise Data and Analytics strategic plan into executable projects that contribute to Energizer’s business performance. + 5% - Coaching and Development: Communicates effectively as a team member to develop analytic and statistical competencies on the team and at Energizer overall. + 5% - Strategic Planning: Participate in the development and maintenance of mid to long-range strategic road maps, contribute to business cases, and help drive program alignment throughout the organization. What we are looking for + Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field + Power BI report development, modeling and administration experience required + 5+ years of relevant experience and proven track record in building and deploying statistical analysis to drive business value (e.g., customer experience, supply chain, marketing, pricing). + The candidate will have had a proven and successful experience in the execution of data analytics initiatives, leading to the development of useful insights and the improvement of a business’s performance. + Demonstrated success with advanced analytics/statistics and working with a wide range of data to build analytics products. + Proficiency in developing and managing complex queries to surface data for multi-faceted insights and performance indicators. Will also have proficiency in data model development, maintenance, and troubleshooting. + Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form. The position is designed to interact with numerous departments to leverage statistical analysis leading to functional improvement. Will require the skill to communicate complex ideas effectively. + Must demonstrate a passion for research and data and be highly skilled in performing quantitative analyses on various business functions, for example, on consumer behavior and trends. + The candidate must also be highly skilled in the use of analytics technology, being able to draw complex queries that ultimately lead to improvements in business performance. + Will be self-motivated, proactive, taking initiative and have exceptional problem-solving skills.
