Sr. Analyst, Commercial Operations - Hybrid
Job Description SummaryReporting to the Manager, GPO Fee Team, you will provide support to the offer development process for Enterprise deals across multiple US Business Segments and ongoing support of the US Region Contract and Pricing Council. This role will support US Region policies, processes, and governance to ensure the effective implementation of complex, critical contract activities which manage business opportunities and risk appropriately. This position will support ad-hoc analytics reporting for BU, Management and Commercial Integration as required. This is an individual contributor role that will work closely with Strategic Customer Group, Commercial Integration, Business, Sales Leaders, and other Commercial Operations functional and Cross-functional Business Partners and will serve as a catalyst to drive best in class contract operations and analytics.

What Commercial Operations Contributes to BD:

The mission of the CoE is to enable commercial strategy and drive profitable sales growth by shifting our mindset to being more “front office”, by exceeding customer needs and improving customer experience in the areas of contracting, sales operations, business analytics and operational excellence.

This will be accomplished by standardizing, automating, and integrating (CoE approach) as one company, driving data integrity, and remaining agile to the evolving needs of customers and BD’s Go-to-Market corporate and BU strategies. The Center of Excellence (CoE) team will embrace industry leading capabilities, develop our talent, and know- how, hold ourselves accountable to strong performance and operate by the highest values and culture of the company. 

Primary Responsibilities

Design and implement analytical tools across a portfolio of $100MM+ annual GPO administrative fees to analyze end customers, identify anomalies, manage membership, and increase overall accuracy. Provide insights regarding trends and changes to enable financial projections and the potential impact of changes in the GPO landscape. Provide recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.Take a lead role in supporting GPO audits by providing detailed custom analytical data to ensure contractual compliance and mitigate financial exposure to BDLead and implement CI initiatives and/or key projects for the team with the ability to enhance operational efficiencies and productivityPlay a lead role in the development and monitoring of KPI’s (key performance indicators), SLA’s (service level agreements), and IIG’s to hold the team accountable for organizational goalsExercise appropriate financial controls to accurately project admin fee/rebate reserves and accruals with the businesses to minimize financial exposureLead and facilitate collaboration sessions with the contract membership team and across Contract Operations to address membership validation issues to increase the integrity and accuracy of GPO sales reporting and membership dataPerform and analyze all aspects of the admin fee/rebate process for assigned GPO and other national account contracts including timely monthly/quarterly payments, rebates, pay for performance, or other incentives including respective member level reportingDevelop variance analysis reporting to identify material fluctuations in sales at the customer and/or material level to understand drivers and ensure data is accurate and payment of fees is appropriateSignificant collaboration with the HSVP team to support ad-hoc reporting requirementsProvide guidance and direction to the GPO fee team to support issue resolution, DTP training and achievement of key team objectivesCollaborate with our key business stakeholders and GPO partners to initiate business process continuous improvement activities, conduct root cause analysis, determine error prevention solutions, and validate previous or current GPO paymentsValidate GPO membership files for accuracy, including roster demographics, GLN, Hospital IDs, and HINs as appropriate in collaboration with the GPO Membership team to ensure fees are paid appropriatelyLead and facilitate key projects as assigned by leadership.Serve as a subject-matter expert to represent the GPO/Nat’l Admin Fee team to other teamsProvide subject matter expertise and drive the design and application of business process and system integration across BDXInspire confidence in both internal and external customers by continually presenting accurate and professionally represented finished work

About You:

Minimum BA/BS required in Finance, Accounting or other business-related fields or 10+ years of related experienceMinimum 3-5 years of experience in data analytics; finance experience is preferredUnderstanding of commercial contract development and managementAbility to act with speed, agility, and accountability to drive desirable outcomesAbility to work in an evolving organization undergoing significant changeHighly analytical problem solver with solid business acumenAbility to engage with key business partners to evaluate key drivers and analytics to assist in development of clear strategic recommendations and anticipate business needsAbility to articulate complex concepts and solutions in a clear, understandable wayAdvanced working knowledge in Excel, Database (i.e. Access, DAX, Python) & Data Mining toolsProficient in Microsoft Power BIData mining experience is preferred
