Title:  Sr Analyst, IT Business Solutions - Remote

Position Summary:

The Sr Analyst is responsible for maximizing the use of supply chain systems and providing optimal solutions, leveraging their expertise in support, development, testing, and implementation.  You will work closely with supply chain stakeholders to bring new capabilities and drive operational excellence through technology for order management, inventory control, warehouse management, and invoicing.  The Sr Analyst is responsible for ensuring the appropriate design and configuration of IT software applications as well as resolving support issues.   

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

Provide application support including troubleshooting, design analysis, and system configuration.Develop supply chain applications, systems, and processes aligned with the company strategy to harmonize processes across the organization.Collaborate with key users and stakeholders to understand business needs, identify, design, and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.Provide data analysis and problem solving / troubleshooting services.Work with internal WestRock IT personnel and external contractors, where required, to deliver needed functionality.  Become knowledgeable of other WestRock systems as required to effectively support the business processes that interact with the supply chain systems.

Familiarity with order-to-cash application life cycles in a manufacturing environment.Candidate must be a team player, adapt well to a multitasking, fast-paced environment and maintain a courteous and professional image.Ability to set and work to deadlines, manage multiple priorities, organize work.Business process and analysis skills, systems design, and analysis skills.Development of documentation, training material, and instructional skills.Excellent communication skills, ability to relate to users in business terms and relate technical solutions to business needs, ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly.IT and Process knowledge sufficient to gain credibility with the user community and to speak in business terms about sometimes complex process and technical issues.Ability to work cooperatively with others in a matrixed, collaborative IT environment.Ability to work independently to solve time-sensitive support issues through data analysis, code review, business and application knowledge, end-user communication, and troubleshooting/testing skills, Ability to collaborate with end-users and end-user management effectively to understand needs and prioritize work.Ability to manage expectations and manage difficult situations.Ability to organize and plan work to meet goals and deadlines.


Skills/Knowledge Desired:

Database experience writing complex stored procedures and expressions with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle. Proficient in programming Perl, C++, VB6, MQ queue manager, COBOL.Ability to independently translate functional requirements to software code for Web and/or desktop form factors.Familiar with running a mission critical application in a high availability environment.Knowledge of help desk software and help desk processes.Ability to travel approximately 10%.College degree or minimum equivalent work experience of 10 years in IT or paper mill operations business.
