Area of Focus:
The Sr. Financial Analyst will play a key role in preparation of various analysis, forecast and budgeting for the Longview Mill. This position also provides key business analysis for various financial and accounting activities in support of both mill and corporate internal customers. This role will be responsible for collecting and analyzing finance data to ensure timely and accurate completion of Mill financial statements and reporting. Duties will include analytics, forecasting, budgeting, month-end closing reporting as well as productivity and cost improvement projects. The individual in this role must exhibit effective communication skills along with the ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
Serve as financial liaison for the Fixed Asset accounting, providing data/information support for both departmental and Finance needs. Including FA additions, disposals and cost true ups in the FA system.Perform monthly financial closing activities by gathering and analyzing data required for journal entries, inventory/usage trends, and other accounting activities as needed to ensure the income statement and balance sheet activity is accurately presented.Perform monthly cost and variance analysis activity to ensure proper accrual entries for the period.Complete assigned mill and corporate financial reporting needs.Support the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process as needed.Provide support for monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.Provide support and leadership related to internal and external audit processes and requirements.Use Hyperion and JDE for analytics and other financial reportingPrepare ad hoc analysis, reporting and project support as necessary.Develop relationships with peers at other mills, divisions and corporate to identify best practices across the Financial Team for Smurfit Westrock.
What you need to succeed:
BA or BS with a major in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with an Accounting concentration.Familiarity with manufacturing and corporate reporting requirements.Exposure to various GL and reporting environments.Experienced with cost and financial analysis and reconciliation processes.A minimum of 7+ years of finance experience.Initiative-taker with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently and effectively manage multiple competing priorities.Strong interpersonal skills with desire and ability to work in a team/collaborative environment and build rapport across functional teams.Experience in JD Edwards, SAP, and Hyperion a plus.

The salary range for this position is $78,750.00 - $131,250.00, depending on your role, level, and location.
